What Is Daniel Negreanu's 2024 WSOP Schedule?

Daniel Negreanu is the most popular poker player in the world. The six-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) gold bracelet winner plays a big schedule of WSOP tournaments every summer in Las Vegas, but Negreanu's 2024 WSOP schedule isn't planned as being as robust as it was in 2023.

For the 2023 WSOP, Negreanu posted ahead of the series that he was prepared to play 88 of the 115 gold bracelet events being offered that summer between live and online tournaments. He had the $300 buy-in Gladiators of Poker NL Hold'em event on his list for 2023 and did end up playing it, even though we don't often see "Kid Poker" play a buy-in so low. Not only did Negreanu play it, but he went on a run that saw him finish 72nd from a field of 23,088 entries in the Gladiators of Poker - the second-largest live poker tournament ever at the time.

The year before, Negreanu's 2022 WSOP schedule was more in line with what we can expect of him in 2024. In 2022, he posted about playing a potential 49 events.

Negreanu, a Poker Hall of Fame member, is very much about taking the "quality over quantity" approach in 2024. On the day the 2024 WSOP schedule was released, Negreanu posted his likely 2024 WSOP schedule and it consisted of 45 events, not including any online events. With 99 live gold bracelet events on the 2024 WSOP schedule, that means Negreanu is planning to play less than half of them. Of the 45 events he posted about playing, all 28 PGT-qualifying events were on his list. As of Monday, February 19, 2024, Negreanu ranked 10th on the PGT leaderboard with 269 points.
